Crispy chicken in creamy garlic
Discover our simple and delicious recipe for crispy chicken in a creamy garlic and Parmesan sauce. This dish combines juicy chicken breast with a rich garlic and Parmesan sauce—perfect for a quick dinner or a special lunch.
📋 INGREDIENTS:
For the chicken:
• 2 large chicken breast fillets (approx. 250 g / 9 oz each)
• 1 tsp salt
• ½ tsp black pepper
• 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
• 2 tbsp flour
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tbsp butter
For the garlic parmesan sauce:
• 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
• 200 ml (¾ cup) cream
• 50 ml (3 tbsp) chicken broth
• 50 g (½ cup) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
• 1 tsp Dijon mustard
• 1 tsp lemon juice
• 1 tsp chopped parsley
Preparation:
1. Prepare the chicken:
• Pat the chicken breast dry and cut it into two thinner pieces so that they cook evenly.
• Season with salt, pepper and paprika powder.
• Lightly coat in flour – this ensures a crispy crust.
2. Roast:
• Heat olive oil and butter in a pan.
• Fry chicken over medium heat for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
• Remove and set aside.
3. Prepare the sauce:
• Briefly fry the chopped garlic in the same pan until it smells fragrant.
• Deglaze with cream and chicken stock.
• Stir in Dijon mustard and Parmesan cheese until the sauce is nice and creamy.
• Add lemon juice and mix well.
4. Add chicken to the sauce:
• Return the fried chicken pieces to the pan.
• Simmer in the sauce for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
5. Serve:
• Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
• Perfect with pasta, rice or roasted vegetables!
